         Rya is an innovative designer, preferring the inspiration of her own rich imagination and dreams to the fashion trends of the past or present.

She is of the opinion that if a designer looks too much at other designs and is too frightened to try the untried, there can be no chance for originality.

         This being said much of her inspiration has come from books and fairytales that she read as a child, as well as the porcelain dolls that she used to stare at in her Grandmother's cabinet.

         Rya is also a dancer, which allows her a perfect understanding of the lines and grace of the female body and how to accentuate them. She also tries to ensure a high level of comfort and ease of movement with every design.

         Because she is a perfectionist at heart and cannot bear the concept of mediocrity she uses only the highest quality silks, laces, and velvets to design her bridal gowns. Being extremely detail oriented these gowns lose nothing of their magic and beauty up close, to the contrary these qualities are augmented.

         Rya says that her talent lies in being fussier than her brides, she cannot endure quality which is anything less than superb and is very active in overseeing the production of each and every gown.

        "I deeply understand the hope that this day will be like no other, that the magic of the moment when your fiancé first sees you in your gown should surpass your highest dreams. The longing to be a princess for a day, to glow with happiness, and confidence. To feel like you are clothed in starlight as every movement you make radiates incredible beauty, and you can hear the gasps of wonder and admiration from all.

         With this understanding I put my total heart and soul into making your gown the divine work of art that you deserve to wear. I try to give you a gift which surpasses the limits of material. I will initially start working on your gown because you have requested me to do so, but soon the call of the gown's own highest potential will beckon, and I will be working on it for the sake of art and beauty itself".
